.  The musical opened NYC on 05/16/46 and ran for 1147 performances.  Inside are original cast production photos, headshot photos, bios, cast & character list, synopsis of scenes, musical numbers list, background on the history of the show and Annie Oakley and critics' quotes.  The cast includes Billie Worth (Mary Martin's standby at the beginning of the tour), Taggart Casey, Donald Burr (Billie Worth's husband), Tommy Wonder, Mimi Walters, Reta Shaw, Jack Rutherford, Zachary A. Charles, Barton Mumaw, Charles Watts, Margaret Banks and Tommy Rettig (Jeff in the first 3 seasons of the TV series Lassie).  Music and lyrics by Irving Berlin and book by Herbert and Dorothy Fields.  Directed by Joshua Logan and choreographed by Helen Tamiris.  Produced by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein.
