**NEW** PCMCIA PC Card Wireless Wi-Fi 802.11G SMC Card for win 98SE/2000/XP

This is a wifeless wi-fi card.   It is 802.11G.  All routers support this speed at 54 Mbps.   These are brand new unopened.  Drivers are included in the box.   Yes, it does work on windows 7 and it automatically downloads a driver.  It found and updated the driver without loading anything else.  Model number of card is SMCWCB-G.  Part # 98-012084-563.  SMC HAS A DRIVER ON THEIR SITE, but it's not the right one!  Use the disk!!!
Please note, under XP, you should select driver only during the install.  It works on everything from Windows 98 second edition (see below note) through Windows 7. It only works with 32 bit windows 7.
Some very old notebooks (pre year 2000) do not support this and the card will not work, and in some cases, not even fit.   If you need help determining, just send me the model number ahead of purchase.   On Windows 98, install the driver first and when asked, then insert the card.
Windows 98 Installs
None of the drivers for Windows 98 support WPA2.  If you are connecting windows 98 to your router, you
MUST USE WEP or No Security
.  WEP was all that existed for windows 98.  Also be aware,  if your intention is to browse the internet with windows 98 and an older unsupported browser, it's very painful.  You won't even be able to properly get to google.com (it won't look the same)!
If your intent is to get to your private network, and share files, and you are willing to put this on the guest network with no security and or use WEP encryption, then windows 98 will work fine.
